Cob led strip

Cob led strips are the latest development in the market of single color led strips. Ordinary led strips are made of SMD chips of various sizes( 5050 SMD are chips of 50 mm x 50mm wide). Due to technical reasons such as chip size, voltage requirement and heat dissipation issues the smd leds need to be spread apart, this in turn will cause issues like non uniformity in lighting such as a spotlight effect. When lit the SMD strips will look just fine as indirect lighting but some applications require to expose the strip to direct view and in such a case tend to look like a row of dots. Many manufacturers tried to soften this array effect by encasing the strip in a semi opaque polyurethane seen in products like the Neon Flex Strip, but consequently dim the overall lighting. Others make use of opaque diffusers included in the aluminum bars. Cob strips are the next step in the evolution of led strips. By using the smaller size COB (Chip on Board) leds, manufacturers are able to array as much as 320 leds per meter (up to 500+), this results in a smooth continuous line of lights that appears dotless from average viewing distance.

ไฟเส้น led Cob เป็นการพัฒนาล่าสุดในตลาด ไฟเส้นสีเดียวรุ่นเดิมทำจากชิป SMD  (surface mounted diode) ขนาดต่างๆ (5050 SMD เป็นชิปที่มีความกว้าง 50 มม. x 50 มม.)  ในความยาวหนึ่งเมตร จะประกอบด้วย 60เม็ดไฟ ถึง จำนวนสูงสุด 240เม็ดไฟ การติดไฟเส้น SMD จะดูดีเมื่อแสงสะท้อนออกมา แต่บางงานจำเป็นต้องติดและมองเห็นโดยตรง เนื่องจากเหตุผลทางเทคนิคเช่น ขนาดชิป ความต้องการแรงดันไฟฟ้า และปัญหาการกระจายความร้อน ผู้ผลิตไฟเส้นจึงต้องแยกชิปไฟ LED smd ออกจากกัน ซึ่งจะทำให้เกิดแสงที่ไม่สม่ำเสมอ และการมองเห็นจุดเม็ดไฟจึงไม่สวยงามและไม่สบายตา ไฟเส้น led Cob  (circuit on board) แก้ปัญหานี้ได้ เนื่องจากขนาดที่เล็กกว่าเม็ดไฟ SMD ทำให้สามารถจัดเรียงไฟ LED ได้มากถึง 600 ดวงต่อเมตรโดยไม่มีช่องว่างระหว่างชิปไฟ ส่งผลให้แสงมีความต่อเนื่องและสม่ำเสมอมองไม่เห็นจุดเม็ดไฟ
